Legion Ladies Night Out hailed as success - May 4, 2017

The first-ever Blyth Legion and Legion Ladies Auxiliary Ladies Night Out fundraiser event was a great success according to organizer Susan Hubbard.
“We had a good turnout and the speakers were awesome,” she said. “Everyone that was there had a good time.”
The event was held in the upper hall at the Blyth Community Centre last week and featured Ingy Marshall from Greyhaven Gardens, health and wellness professional Jillian Walden and Lori Lupton from Pelee Island Winery.
Approximately $1,800 was raised through the event for the Blyth Legion Building Fund for three future projects: a new roof, renovated kitchen and renovated bar.
Funds were raised through vendor attendance, a silent auction with approximately 25 items, a 50/50 draw and a raffle draw for a special trip to Pelee Island Winery and overnight stay for four.
Hubbard hopes the event will happen again next year and welcomes anyone who wants to be involved to get in touch with her at firstname.lastname@example.org or 519-525-0490.
