Blyth CIBC branch to close - Jan. 18, 2018
The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) Blyth Branch will be merging with the Wingham branch and closing its doors for the final time Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.
Bank staff explained to The Citizen that the change had been announced to customers earlier this week and that notices would be placed at the bank by Friday.
A public meeting regarding the closure has been scheduled for April 19 at the Blyth Community Centre from 7-9 p.m.
Clients will be contacted by bank staff as soon as possible, with letters being mailed on Feb. 2.
Aside from the closure of the branch, customers can expect their account transit number to change to a Wingham transit number once the process is complete.
